What did the Fellowship or Laureate mean to you at the time you received it?

It was a great honor and tremendous incentive to continue the work of teaching and performing.

What do you do now? Has your art evolved or changed?

I have retired from teaching after 38 years. My artistic pursuits are now in the form of painting and writing.

What is one piece of advice you would give to an emerging artist?

embrace your art grow with it listen to its immensity
