Two-time recipient of Arts Council Silicon Valley’s Fellowship in Photography, Dunlevie is a graduate of Rice University’s Fine Arts Department and studied film at the University of Paris, photography at Madrid’s Taller de Artes Creativas, and painting at California College of the Arts.

What do you do now? Has your art evolved or changed?

My 2001 Fellowship in Photography enabled me to to produce mixed media works large enough to be experienced as ?environments.? My 2005 Fellowship in Photography allowed me the immediacy and spontaneity of producing large prints in my own studio.

What is one piece of advice you would give to an emerging artist?

Briefly, how would you describe the state of the arts locally, as well as national and beyond?
